We are the backyard boys! But you can be a citizen of Yimbynow too!*
Leo was born, but not raised in Holland. But, if he earned good grades in school, his parents let him visit the cousins–like Titus–back in the old country during the summer. Back on this side of the pond, he grew up in New Hampshire (snowy winter camping trips), went to college at Tufts University (super-smart classmates), travelled North America extensively as a book publisher (long highways between truck stops). He and his family lives in the New York’s Hudson Valley, where he serves as mayor of one of its great villages, while writing on energy, the environment, the economy, and equality.
Titus was born and raised in Holland. He studied art at the Royal Academy of Art in Amsterdam. Titus is a professional illustrator whose work has appeared in numerous European magazines, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The New Yorker. A co-founder of Claroscuro Productions, Titus has extensive experience in artistic design for theater and film. He and his family lives in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts. When he is not at his studio desk on Poverty Mountain, he is splitting wood for the winter, or fly-fishing the Deerfield.
